Admission Policy:

Students applying for admission are considered on an individual basis. Admission and grade level placement are finalized after evaluation of previous school records, completion of school admission examinations (MAP for grades 3 through 10) and a personal interview with school administration. Students who transfer from another school must have an evaluation of their grades to determine which courses will transfer as credits to SJAS as well as a letter from their previous school addressing academic and behavioral concerns. A student might be required to take one or more extra course(s) if his/her MAP Exam results are not meeting the standards or criteria of success needed for his/her grade level. All students admitted to SJAS must live with a parent or a legal guardian. If proper supervision is not established, a recommendation will be made to withdraw the student.

Students will also undergo an assessment and interview process similar to the older students. Children will be accepted into school depending on availability of places. If there is no vacancy, you will be offered the opportunity to be placed on a waiting list. Children are accepted into the school on a first come, first served basis.
